Nano chassis are W25 x B25mm x H25mm (or higher). 

These kits have been designed to give our customers a 'kick-start' in making small robots and is NOT an 'out-of-the-box' solution. You'll  still need to invest considerable time  in making wiring harnesses, designing interface PCB's to simplify connect of sensors, motors, construct charging solutions, hours of programming, etc. These chassis are not designed for beginners in robot building!

Frustration Caution: If you don't have the patients of a watchmaker and hate fiddly things then, we suggest not to start making very small robots. Due the extreme small sizes there are many mechanical constraints that you need to deal  with when using these small chassis.

We recommend that you only use small chassis if your project specifically demands small robots (e.g. robot swarms) and that you have a research and development budget to build various prototypes and in the process probably destroying  a few before getting it right.

An aluminium sheet metal nano-sized robot chassis. There are two nano size geared motors secured to the chassis with straps. 

This provides an extremely compact solution with plenty of room for Li-Po Battery motor controller,  additional sensor PCB's and a robot controller.

10003 - Nano Chassis

Belt Drive Version 3

This chassis consists of a solid aluminium motor block, that houses the two nano size geared motors and sheet steel or aluminium plates screwed to the motor block. The main advantage with this version is the weight of the aluminium motor block ensure a stable construction. 

Using additional aluminum or steel sheet plates, various types of robots can be assembled. 

This chassis is designed for Nano-sized swarms or Sumo competitions,  where flexibility is required to construct  individual versions of robot  teams with unique features.

10041 - Nano Chassis

Gear Drive Version 1

Under development

A 3 part chassis that just snap-fits together, using two nano size geared motors and direct gear drive for longer endurance.

Chassis Part 1- An outer 'skin' to protect the gears and other components' from damage from collisions with other robots. The skin is also great for adding some personality to the robot using paints and stickers.

Chassis Part 2 - The middle layer supports the robot controller and Li-Po Battery. The controller fixing hole pitch  is designed for the MegaBitty robot controller (20mm x 20mm). 

Chassis Part 3 - A quick release  motor chassis allow you to get to the motors and motor driver components quickly. It was designed for very large swarm robot solutions where easy maintenance and easy access to the motors is required.

This chassis was designed for a University swarm project, and could be used with the Infrared Control Freak and two powerful  40040 - Micro Geared Motors

The robot is constructed in two parts that swivel apart, for easy access to the batteries and robot controller and motor controller PCB. 

The micro size robot chassis is large enough to fit additional sensors and other equipment as is a  comfortable prototyping platform.
