The Infrared Control Freak module is available as a self assembly kit.

The kit come complete with all the parts needed. 

Easy to follow instructions 

The kit is intended to be suitable for anyone with some basic soldering experience, from age 14+ (The kits are not toys and should only be assembled with supervision of an Adult).

Try practicing on some spare breadboard first!

The easy-to-follow  guide will take you through each step in a logical manner, which ensures that the module works fine first time round.
